Le Systur saranno le protagoniste dell’Eurovision Song Contest, per l’Islanda portando un brano in islandese, dopo i trionfi nel 2020 e 2021 di Dadi Frey. Abbiamo fatto quattro chiacchiere con Sigga, Beta & Elìn, ovvero le Systur.
In attesa di seguire in diretta sulla nostra pagina ufficiale facebook, martedì 10, giovedì 12 e sabato 14, dalle 20.00 gli speciali dedicati a ESC2022, Matolas ha incontrato le tre sorelle islandesi che hanno scelto di presentarsi in gara insieme con il nome di Systur con il brano “Með hækkandi sól”.
Ecco quello che ci hanno raccontato le Systur (dopo il video, la versione in inglese):
“Diamo il benvenuto a Sigga, Beta & Elìn, ovvero le Systur che rappresenteranno l’Islanda all’Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Cosa vi aspettate da questa esperienza?”
Ci aspettiamo tanto divertimento e una bellissima avventura da vivere in questa edizione dell’Eurovision Song Contest, come del resto in tutte le bellissime esperienze.
“Vi va di raccontarci del vostro brano “Með hækkandi sól”? Come l’avete scelto per l’Eurovision?”
Il titolo del brano significa ‘con il sorgere del sole’: solitamente abbiamo un inverno molto scuro in Islanda ma quando il sole inizia a sorgere e diventare sempre più alto nel cielo, ogni giorno abbiamo giornate più lunghe e luminose e ci sentiamo meglio. Può benissimo essere trasposto alla vita in generale: se hai una brutta giornata o un periodo molto difficile, sappi che c’è sempre una luce alla fine del tunnel e una speranza di momenti migliori.
“Siete mai state in Italia? Conoscete alcuni artisti italiani? Con chi vi piacerebbe collaborare per un duetto?”
Sicuramente i Maneskin: ci piacerebbe molto incontrarli perché amiamo moltissimo il loro rock e ci piacciono davvero tanto. Sono stata nel nord della Toscana, precisamente a Montecatini e mi è piaciuta tantissimo. Siamo molto felici di tornare in Italia e di essere a Torino dove non eravamo mai state, anche perché poi potremmo mangiare gli spaghetti, che sono il mio cibo preferito!
“A parte il vostro brano, quale canzone di questa edizione vi piace di più?”
Ci piacciono in realtà tutte le canzoni perché sappiamo tutto lo sforzo che ognuno mette per proporre il proprio lavoro musicale e quindi già per questo tutti meritano rispetto. Se dovessimo scegliere però sicuramente ci piace la canzone “Saudade, saudade” di Maro per il Portogallo che ci piacerebbe anche riproporre noi stesse perché è assolutamente in linea con il nostro stile.
“Sfortunatamente stiamo vivendo dei tempi terribili con questa incredibile guerra. Cosa vorreste dire a riguardo? Può la musica unire e salvare il mondo?”
Sì, lo può fare assolutamente. Pensiamo sia terribile vivere questa situazione e il nostro cuore e i nostri pensieri sono con l’Ucraina e con tutti quei paesi che stanno affrontando una guerra. Nessuno dovrebbe mai dover affrontare una guerra, mai! La musica aiuta molto le persone soprattutto in questi difficili momenti: abbiamo ricevuto tanti messaggi dalle persone che vivono in Ucraina e che hanno sentito la nostra canzone e speriamo di poter essere una voce anche per chi non può averla.
“Ora è il vostro momento per l’APPELLO PER FARVI VOTARE: potete dire qualsiasi cosa per avere voti da tutta l’Europa!”

We expect a lot of fun and adventure from this edition of Eurovision Song Contest, and just all in all a good experience.
“Would you like to talk about your song “Með hækkandi sól”? How did you choose it for the Eurovision?”
The name of the song Means “with the rising sun”. We have darker winter in Iceland when the sun starts raising and getting higher each and every day we have longer days and brighter days and we feel better and that can be also translated into life in general: if you have a bad day and if you have dark periods in life there is always gonna be a light at the end of the tunnel, there is always gonna be hope.
“Have you ever been in Italy before? Do you know some words and artists in Italian? Whom would you like to do a duet?”
Maneskin we would really like to meet them because we love them. I was in the North of Tuscany, in Montecatini, and I loved it and I am really excited to go to Italy again, but we’ve never been in Torino. And spaghetti is my favourite food, so we can’t wait!
“A part for your, which song in the competition do you like the most? And whom are you scared about?”
We like all the songs and we know the effort that goes into every song and we respect that; but we really like the Portuguese songs and it is a song we would really like to sing it because it is in our genre
“We’re all living bad times with this incredible war. What would you like to say about it? Could the music save and unite the world?”
Yes it could, we think it’s terrible and our hearts and thoughts are with Ukraine and all the other countries that are going through a war. Nobody should ever have to go through a war, ever! Music does help people through terrible times and we have received messages from people in Ukraine that were listening to our songs and we are much hoping that we can be a voice for people that don’t have a voice.
