“Ci parlate della vostra canzone “Eat your salad”? Come l’avete scelta per l’Eurovision e come è nata?”

“A parte l’insalata, cosa mangerete a Torino? Siete mai stati in Italia prima?”

Cosa volete dire a riguardo?

“Please welcome Citi Zeni who represent Latvia for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. What do you expect from your participation?”

We expect to have the experience of a life time. And we expect that our performance would make everybody forget about everything that is going on in their life for at least 3 minutes. Hopefully that will pan out.

“Would you like to talk about your song “Eat your salad”? How did you choose it for the Eurovision? And how was it born?”

We started out with a song writing camp. To see whether we could write songs in English. We wrote in total 30 songs including “Eat your salad”. Then we didn’t know what to do with all these songs and eventually we took part in Supernova that was the national selection program.

“A part from salad, what you gonna eat in Turin? Have you ever been in Italy before?”

The food has been amazing so far! We had pizza, pasta, mussels and vermut. We are enjoying the coffee! It is the best coffe we are having in our life.

“Do you know some words and artists in Italian? Whom would you like to do a duet with?”

Si! If we could have the chance to do a collaboration with Eros Ramazzotti. It would be amazing!

“A part for your song, which one in the competition do you like the most? And who are you scared of?”

We are scared of the stage. Since there is 6 of us in the band we have different ideas: For me is Spanish entrance, Chanel with “SloMo”; she is the European Beyoncé. Then the others like for example the song by Subwoolfer “Give that wolf a banana” from Norway, or the Portuguese song “Saudade, saudade” by Maro and then the song “Brividi” from Italian Mahmood & Blanco. There are so many good songs this year!

“We’re all living bad times with this incredible war. What would you like to say about it? Could music save and unite the world?”

Yes we can influence it. This year most of the artists nobody wants to compete for the 1st place. But all for the 2nd because the 1st place is for Ukraine. Our song stands for the environment for example.

“And now it’s your time to CALL TO VOTES! Say what you want in order to receive votes from all over Europe!”

Thank you for having us over. Enjoy the show and hopefully it would provide a small piece of time that can make us forget a little bit where we are and what is going on.
